90% of my clientele experiences very dry skin in the colder months. Now, I live in a desert, which is already dry - but adding in the cold weather just makes it that much harder on your skin. One way to keep your skin fresh, smooth, and flake-free is to stay on top of a good home skincare routine and do a good deep-cleaning once a month.

Now when I say deep cleaning, I’m specifically referring to chemical peels. They work by removing the build-up of dead skin cells and stimulating the regenerative process, which results in a beautiful, healthy glow! They’re also amazing for scarring, fine lines, acne, rosacea, and hyperpigmentation.

Another amazing treatment is microdermabrasion. The difference between microderm and peels is obvious - no peeling! Even though peels go a lot deeper into the skin, microderm is great for large pores, fine lines, and to brighten up dull skin! This service is very popular for brides, and for clients who do not need a lot of correction in their skin.

In short, the key to great skin in these extra dry months is EXFOLIATE, EXFOLIATE, EXFOLIATE! I use a product line called Rhonda Allison, which blends the best of active natural ingredients with highly beneficial, scientifically-developed compounds to create a synergy of superior professional treatments and customized home care products that will transform the condition of your skin.

Estheticians can only do so much to keep your skin looking great. The most important part is YOUR part at home. So invest in good skincare, and a good treatment once a month!
