Tis the season of holiday parties! Even if all you want to do is cozy up next to the fire every night, it’s inevitable that you're going to be invited to some sort of holiday party this season. If you’re like me, you like to dress to impress. There’s nothing like the confidence of walking into a room dressed to the nines. I’ve put together some looks for all the different types of parties you’ll be invited to, all with a festive flair for the season and at a reasonable price. The holidays are all about luxe fabrics: think silk, sequins, leather, and velvet. So get your glam on and read on.

Work parties are a little tricky if I’m being honest. On one hand you want to look festive and fun, but on the other hand it’s important to keep a modest dress code in mind. For this reason, I’ve chosen a velvet and lace midi dress from Zara (can you believe this dress is less than $50?!), a pair of classic black pumps with a fun, lace twist, and a silver metallic clutch.

This black satin dress from H&M is a steal. It can be dressed down with an oversized cardigan and moto boots, but also fancied up for your friend’s annual holiday mixer. I love that it isn’t super fitted, but the cut is still flattering. I also love that it has long sleeves. Anyone else get super annoyed by so many winter dresses that have spaghetti straps?! I digress. Since it does have a shorter hemline, tights are a must. These glittering fishnet tights from Urban Outfitters put a fun festive twist on classic fishnet stockings. Add some color with Burgundy Velvet Platforms and you are ready to go!

I think this is the hardest type of party to dress for. It’s easy to be overdressed when wearing festive clothing, but it’s important not to skip out on any festive glam. It is Christmas after all. Leather leggings are a staple in my closet because they are so versatile. I wear them as a substitute for black jeans or normal leggings. Add a cozy sweater with feather embellishments, and a pair of pointed toe black Chelsea boots and you’ve got the perfect cozy, glam look.

This is the most casual outfit of the bunch; perfect for a family Christmas morning gift exchange. I recently bought an eyelash sweater and it is the most comfortable sweater I own. I came across this winter white version from ASOS and fell in love! Add your favorite skinny jeans, a white cami, some embellished kicks and you're ready to go.
